Lebron James vs. Kobe Bryant

Hey, I'm a cleveland cavaliers fan and i feel Lebron James is the best player in the NBA. I know there is a lot of talk about who is the best but I would like to hear what some cowboy fans think.

Sensi,

I gotta say i think Lebron definitely has the better all around game but if I need a closer or a game winning shot I'm still taking Kobe right now... that jumper is deadly! Lebron will get there in time though.

p.s. I'm psyched you're going to be a Cowboy this year. I really think you'll add a whole new dimension to our defense! kick ass this year

I think im leaning towards Kobe. I know Kobe has had a better, or more dominating supporting cast, but he always seems to shine. He tends to win the big games.

Keyser Sensay,

MoneyShot thinks comparing LeBron and Kobe is like asking which is better... Cheetos or Doritos? Depends on your taste.

Game 7 starter? Kobe

Build a franchise? LeBron

To MoneyShot, LeBron is the more versatile player, rebounds and distributes the ball much better than Kobe. Bryant is more clutch, is a tad better on defense, and has more skins on the wall, but LeBron is more capable of getting a Trible-Double, which to MoneyShot is the most complete stat in basketball. LeBron's gotta cut down on the turnovers in the 4th quarter though, and become more trusted at the foul line. MoneyShot recommends that LeBron needs a 21st century Scottie Pippen to make teams pay for double teams

MoneyShot suggests Krypt-O'Neal dye his fro green next season, that'll take care of Superman Dwight Howard. Coach Mike Brown needs to read "Defending the Pick and Roll for Dummies", and someone needs to shave Varejao's raggy du. He looks like the kid from the movie Holes, all that hair has gotta mess up his equalibrium. Maybe that's why he's so clumsy.

BTW - LeBron is a HUGE Cowboys fan. Kobe? Egals... Anyone who sports a #5 Philly jersey out in public is a bonafide d-bag.

Kobe hands down.
I don't understand how people can say Lebron is a better all around.
Kobe has a better shot that Lebron.
Kobe has a better shot selection that Lebron (meaning he can shoot from anywhere).
Kobe is a better defender than Lebron.
Kobe has a bigger killer instinct/drive.
Kobe has a bigger basketball IQ than Lebron.
When you need that final shot Kobe is going to make it time after time.
The biggest "knock" on Kobe for years was that he didnt pass the ball but he passes a lot more now and more importantly guys are making the shots. Many times Kobe was passing and guys were missing. Hard to get an assist if the guy is missing.
Kobe is a proven winner.

Lebron is stronger which helps him drive to the basket.
Lebron at this point is more athletic.

Give me Kobe every time.

I know the constant excuse for Lebron now is that he doesn't have a supporting cast. But when it was Kobe with no supporting cast it was said that he's not good cuz Jordan would make guys around him better so why can't he. Why can't Lebron make his team better?
Kobe made his team better. Guys like Ariza were making big time shots cuz Kobe was drawing doubles and passing to Ariza to make big shots.

If by some miracle Shaq can help Lebron and the Cavs win a championship will everyone say that Lebron can't win without Shaq?

Here's some of MoneyShot's favorite Nike commercials starring The LeBrons.

Lebron's stat line is way better than kobe's. Lebron just doesnt have a good supporting cast unlike Kobe thats where the winning comes in to play. I'm not asking who wins the most, i'm asking who is the better basketball player no matter what their strengths or weeknesses are. Kobe has a better shot, man on man defense, lebron is better assist, rebounds, blocks, steals. The man is close to averaging a triple double with almost 30 points. I know Kobe hit 81 but that was 1 game. With lebrons physical tools i think he brings more to the game than kobe. Their FG% is pretty much the same and from 3pt. Kobe's jumper is unstopable. Lebron's penetration is unstopable. So thats evens everything out. What about the other aspects of the game? Just because your team loses doesn't mean you dont have the best player. For Jordan to win he had one of the best supporting cast and some of the all time great 3pt shooters. Lebron took that terrible cavs team to the finals while Kobe was crying about how he wanted to be traded. He has already proven he can win. When shaq left Kobe wasn't even close to winning untill they went and got Gasol, and the rest of the guys. I just think hands down Lebron is the best. He could take any of the 32 teams to the playoffs unlike Kobe.

G,

How was the first official training camp practice with Dallas? After reading several interviews over the past month or so it sounds like the coaches and your fellow teammates are very high on you. That's got to be a confidence boost being the new guy in town. Moneyshot knows you're probably already confident in your abilities based on your experience, but so many fans don't realize how you will help make this defense go from good to great.

MoneyShot's not trying to brownnose or ballwash here, just making an observation.

Number 43 in the secondary allows makes Mike Jenkins better.
Number 43 in the secondary allows Wade to call more man coverage and blitz.

What's all of this equal? More turnovers. A better 3rd down conversion percentage. Fewer points allowed. And more Time Of Possession for the offense to get their shine on.

Lebron is the best all around player. GS - Are you a Lebron fan or a Cleveland fan? You do know next year he is going to the Knicks. Who wouldn't want to play in MSG. Plus, Lebron wants more - he has done everything in Cleveland - He wants the big market - the BIG City Lights.
All of you guys - Kobe is Great as an INDIVIDUAL, but look at his team - he had Gasol - an All Star. Lebron has nobody (decent players nobody special) and to take his team tha far speaks volumes.

Not sure what "beWARE" is saying. Of Course Kobe is better individually. I agree. But as a team - Lebron does more for your franchise. And what on earth are you talking about Lebron not having a supporting cast - HE DOES NOT. KOBE has Bynum - Odom - GASOL. Who does lebron have? Simply put if you switch Kobe and Lebron - Kobe wont take the Cavs as far as Lebron has.

M,
how can you say "Not sure what "beWARE" is saying. Of Course Kobe is better individually. I agree. " and then say Lebron is better. The whole question is bout the individual not the team. 43 asked who we thought was a better player? Obviously you agree with me that Kobe is the better player.

and I understand Lebron doesn't have a supporting cast...i only mention what i said because Kobe never got the same treatment. When Kobe didnt have a supporting cast he was knocked because he didnt make his teammates better. But no one seems to be saying the same thing bout Lebron. And before you mention again that Lebron took his team here or there that doesn't matter...1. they didn't win and as a Cowboy fan I'm sure you understand getting to the playoffs doesn't mean anything if you don't win the championship and 2. how many teams win without a supporting cast? Shaq never won without a supporting cast. Not like he left the Lakers for the heat and had scrubs. But as I said, this question is about the individual player.

I have no doubt Lebron will one day become better than Kobe...I don't hate the guy, he's fun to watch but I don't think at this stage he's better than Kobe.
